COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry

COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd (CHI) is the shipping industry part of COSCO SHIPPING CORPORATION Group and has five major shipyards across China. Shanghai, Zhoushan, Dalian, Guadongs and Nantong have all together dock capacity of 1,85mil tons including 2 x 300,000-ton floating docks, 4*150,000 to 200,000-ton docks, 6*40,000 to 80,000-ton docks and 33 berths including 2 shipbuilding berths.

Weihai Huadong Shipyard

Located in Rongcheng, Weihai, this yard covers approximately 80,000 m² with 3,950 m of shoreline and 10 berths. It operates two dry docks (280 m * 48 m * 12.8 m and 240 m * 39 m * 11.8 m) and provides a full range of hull, machinery, and electrical repair services, including painting and conversions.

Weihai Xinxiang Shipyard

Located in Rongcheng, Weihai, Xinxia heavy industry specialized in ship repairs. Yard operates 4 drydocks 205m*38m*11.58m /240m*38m*11.58m /270m*45m*12.6m / 300m*54m*13.1m and 2 wharfages: 481m*1set , 370m*1set

CUD (Weihai) Shipyard

CUD Shipyard, part of Shandong Xinhong Group, focuses on shipbuilding, repairs, and conversions. Strategically positioned along the Bohai Bay, in the east of Jiaodong peninsula, the yard handles medium and large vessels with efficient turnaround and quality workmanship. Yard operates 2 drydocks 355m*78m*14m /325m*54m*13m and 3 wharfages:500m*1set, 576m*1set and 876m*1set,310m*1set

Rutai Nantong Shipyard

Private repair yard located in Nantong, China, near the Shanghai area, opposite Port Zhangjiagang, with an area of 396,000 m², covering 3 berths and 3 floating docks presently. They can accommodate deadweight up to 82,000 MT for docking repairs as well as up to 100,000 MT DWT alongside afloat services.

Zhejiang Youlian Shipyard

Located in Zhoushan, “Qushan Island”, Zhejiang Youlian Shipyard provides ship repair, conversion, and fabrication services with strong steelwork capacity and well-equipped quays. Zhoushan Huafeng Shipyard

Located in Baiquan Town, Dinghai District, Zhoushan area, established in 2017, Zhoushan Huafeng Shipyard spans 437,000 m² with a 1,282 m shoreline and two graving docks. The yard focuses on hull and machinery repairs, painting, and outfitting projects with modern facilities and efficient dock scheduling. Yard operates 2 bases: Base1: 310m*48m*15.5m /580m*109m*17.5m ttl 2 drydocks. Wharfage:450m*1set , 330m*1set,270m*1set Base 2: 410m*68m*15.5m /560m*45m*13.5m ttl 2 drydocks. Zhoushan PaxOcean Engineering Co., Ltd.

Located on the Island of Changbai, Zhoushan main area, part of the Kuok Group’s PaxOcean network, the Zhoushan yard operates two ultra-large graving docks and a 576 m pier. It supports ULCCs, VLOCs, Suezmax tankers, and FPSOs, specializing in ship repair, conversion, and offshore engineering works with high safety standards. Fujian Huadong Shipyard

Situated on the northern coast of Luoyuan Bay, Fujian Huadong Shipyard spans 700,000 m² with 2,250 m of deep-water shoreline. It operates three graving docks (400,000 DWT, 170,000 DWT, and 100,000 DWT) and provides full repair, maintenance, and conversion services for large tonnage vessels.
